Building blocks or drawing pens, no matter what, but landed in an architectural den?

Speaking about architecture is an intellectual process that makes talks more interesting at every turn. Here, the motivation is not to define the term architecture but the change in a person’s perspective intrigued by architectural knowledge.

For all the knowledge gathered by an architectural person, let’s dive into the journey of blocks molding into buildings.

The emotional variation in perspective

The person’s perception of the ambiance of community areas, public parks, or even streets changed after involving himself in architectural education. Earlier, these spaces seemed only chaotic or visual symbols where people are getting themselves together for their different purposes. However, a visit to these places by an architect observes how they planned it to fulfill various needs, the feel of texture and elements involved, and indulges itself in imagining various factors of how it cannot be or can make it more favorable.

A typical person involves their personal experiences, circumstances, or incidents to define a particular space.

Whereas architects change their perception of public parks or community areas or buildings based on design elements, and environmental, economic, or materialistic factors.

The image above is the right depiction of the impact of architecture on the person’s mind. As a human, we think about our needs, but for an architect, decision-making is not only based on their desires but is to fulfill the needs of society too.

Buildings- Aesthetics versus Functionality

There is no doubt in relation to the architecture of aesthetic presentation, but buildings and their workability invest in a lot of functions and elements. That’s where the perspective of a person differs based on architectural factors.

One of the most impactful creations is the Skyscrapers. All at once, there is a time when a person comes across high-rise buildings daily or maybe visits a skyscraper-like Burj Khalifa.

Usually, a person talks about the visual attractions of the building or how tall it looks or may be worried about the travel distance. The furniture or interiors shall attract the person, whereas the low maintenance can distract the aesthetic beauty of the building. The outlook of architects on skyscrapers and buildings can reflect the change in perspective through architectural knowledge. Later can observe or may review the building as per its structural details, site surroundings, internal zoning, or external facades.

What should you first observe in a building on your visit? Maybe the author guessed it right in the above few images. Or you are thinking about it in another way.

Details matter the most for an architect

Wandering all around carrying a sketchbook and pens is truly an architect’s personality. Whether a detailed elevation or any other element, the diversion is all on the side to explore the techniques involved. That is how it concluded that architecture changes one’s perspective for visualizing every corner. In all manners, a person dedicates their physical, mental, or emotional strengths to turn every detail into reality.

The details are the elements of any building that satisfy the ordinary, along with architectural viewers. Architectural viewers only understood even the intricacy of such ornamentations or details.

Ahh! Wait a minute. If you think architecture is all about ornamentations, then that is not true. While extending the approach to details, then it means various aspects of the building, such as circulation, accessibility, indoor environment, thermal comfort, equipment utilization, and so on.

This is how the way of adoring buildings changed after entering the architectural web. The most common or basic element of any building is a staircase or other means of circulation. As a part of their route, common travelers do not get bothered by such areas. But when an architecturally influenced person visits any kind of building, circulation becomes the first thing to be observed.

The above images are both staircases. We may see it as a “staircase within a building” or maybe a “ building within a staircase”. What are your views on this? Are they the same or different? Let us know in the comments.

As per the author’s perceptions, it can catch a common viewer’s observation or architect’s views differently.

Somehow it feels like we are living in a different world, talking strangely in different terminology. Like now, as the author is talking about the impact, architecture has put on their thoughts.

At the end of this article, it may be stated that in various ways architecture has changed our perspective to think about buildings. Somehow, it seems like the buildings or any enclosed spaces are not viewed in the way it deserves. But after architectural experiences, the buildings seem more appropriate things to discuss. In a world of modernization or revolutions, architecture made us believe that any enclosed space can affect our lives so it is necessary to take care of spaces or to design consciously to fulfill our needs and simultaneously should consider environmental impact
