Space Matrix has successfully transformed the Gurgaon office of Beumer India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the German multinational BEUMER Group. Known for its expertise in workplace design and build, Space Matrix created an innovative office space spanning the 8th and 9th floors of the DLF Corporate Greens Building in Gurgaon. Departing from traditional office layouts, the new design integrates modern concepts, fostering collaboration and community.

The focal point of the transformation is a vertical connection, realized through a striking staircase, symbolizing the collaboration between Space Matrix and Beumer. While Space Matrix contributed the design and conceptualization, Beumer executed the engineering aspects, highlighting the synergy between design excellence and engineering capabilities. The project aimed to provide a unique and impactful workspace for Beumer Group, a global leader in intralogistics solutions.
Rohit Raj Puniani, Managing Director of Space Matrix, emphasized the integration of Beumer’s brand values into the space. The design thinking approach, combined with a deep understanding of the client’s vision, ensured the project’s success in terms of functionality, efficiency, and strategic placement of recreational and work zones.
The two-floor office layout strategically separates employee-only spaces on the 8th floor from arrival experience zones on the 9th floor. The design facilitates a dynamic and engaging environment, with a central hub connecting both levels. This hub serves as a collaborative space and focal point for events, equipped with life-sized screens for seamless digital connectivity.

The workspace transformation prioritized the overall employee experience by removing cubicles and enclosed rooms along the glass façade. This design decision maximizes exposure to the natural world outside, creating a profound connection between occupants and their environment. Abundant natural light and greenery further contribute to a workspace that prioritizes employee well-being.
The open work area boasts a 360-degree view across both floors, with full-height masses strategically placed. Alternating furniture and lighting cleverly distinguish focus work zones from vibrant buzz zones, promoting both concentration and collaboration. A captivating graphic carpet pattern enhances the workspace with a dynamic sense of movement and energy, fostering an environment where creativity and productivity thrive.
The transformation also includes dedicated spaces like a recreation center, library, wellness room, and nursing room strategically placed for maximum impact on the workforce. These areas serve as sanctuaries of rejuvenation, emphasizing the importance of employee well-being and creating an environment where individuals can thrive both personally and professionally.
