Establishing a clean break with the past: this was the condition set by the clients for the
house inherited from the family, which they wanted to manifest a new and different image.

So they worked on the cleanliness and simplicity of a project connecting the two levels of
the flat using only two materials: the white plaster of the walls and the frssino wood used
for the flooring and handcrafted furniture.

The star of the intervention is certainly the staircase, a sculptural presence positioned
inside the double-height space dedicated to the dining area and leading to the upper floor,
dedicated to a living, wellness and relaxation area, where there is a second kitchen area,
for summer evenings to be spent on the large terraces.

Finally, a large double-sided island sofa furnishes the living room, with the TV point set
up on the mirrored wall, the only element surviving the ‘clean cut’ made with the original
layout.
