Houses have always been witnesses to the stories and memories that were sheltered in them and fixed on their walls. From the bricks that age to the paintings that peel, they inhabit the experiences that never go away. And, even when time leaves deep marks, they remain standing as symbols of fruitful experiences, because time, after all, does not erase what happened in life and what houses will always keep. It is with this poetry in prose that SUITE Arquitetos, from partners Carolina Mauro, Daniela Frugiuele and Filipe Troncon, signed the Casa Kraftizen Cosentino project, a space owned by the multinational leader in the production and distribution of innovative and sustainable surfaces for the world of architecture and design. design, which is part of the 36th edition of CASACOR São Paulo, which runs until August 6th, at Conjunto Nacional, on Avenida Paulista.

The creation of the 200m² space was based on the principle of the most vernacular Brazilian houses, built in rammed earth, which bear marks of permanence on their walls. Highlighted by the coatings that make up the space, these floors have as their starting point the central volume of the environment, which has a rammed earth coating, executed by Taipal, with nuances of Coral paintings in earthy tones. From it, the various layers, which translate the memories of the house, appear in the compositions with travertine marble and in the artistic painting, created by Atelier Adriana e Carlota, portraying the address that kept the memories of different inhabitants in moments that are gone.

With a fluid layout, the project is guided by a color palette that favors clear and organic tones – ranging from the Pousada de Areia tone to the Cestaria color, both by Coral – which are also present in the furniture developed by the architects,  exclusively, for this edition of CASACOR São Paulo. The sofa, designed to “embrace” the space, has curved and fluid shapes and a welcoming texture, from the pleats and folds that give the piece an aspect of memory of use. The coffee tables bring a reinterpretation of weaves created with discarded natural silk straw raw material, which were rethought, rebuilt, reused and woven by the SUITE Design team with materials from textile designer Nani Chinellato.

The side table, produced with Dekton®️ Kraftizen Umber e Albarium, by Cosentino, consolidates the space’s proposal to honor and rescue memories, based on artisanal craftsmanship, in line with the technology present in the project, through Dekton®️ coverings Danae and Kira. The sand tone of Dekton®️ Danae embraces the grayish cutouts of Dekton®️ Kira, forming an exclusive layout on the floor of the room. The duo also appears in the living and dining areas, in the bathroom and on the countertops, showing the versatility of stones and their infinite applications, thus adding a layer of up-to-dateness to the many stocks.

This more contemporary aspect is also present in the cladding of the bathroom area, which was covered with an adhesive film – supplied by Design House – that reproduces a finish reminiscent of rusty metal, indicating that the passage of time has also left its marks there. . Still in the bathroom, a water projection, executed by Taag, illuminates the room’s ceiling, creating a unique sensory experience.

“Houses are silent witnesses of the passage of time, guardians of stories that accumulate over the years. Like a blank canvas, they are filled with the marks of life, the scars that time and the many “homes” have left on their surfaces”, explain Carolina, Daniela and Filipe. “We want people to look at this project and be able to perceive and feel the stories and memories of our home and even reflect on their own homes”, they complete.

The project also gained an exclusive landscaping, created by the Cenario Paisagismo team. A garden, which accompanies the central volume in mud, brings a set of flowers in tones that vary between the most earthy, purplish and wine.
